Michal Olownia is a recording engineer, producer and musician. A native of Krakow, Poland, and a feature on the Krakow rock scene in the 1990s, since 2005 he has been active on the New York music scene, exploring the world of Jewish music and working with such artists as Frank London, Basya Schechter and Pharaoh’s Daughter, Uri Sharlin, and Tamas Wormser. He has been recording all genres of music from classical, jazz, to world music, working with such artists as Graham Parker, Vlada Tomova, and Oran Etkin. His live recording of Manhattan Island Sessions (CD) was nominated for 2011 Independent Music Awards. He looks forward to working with KlezKanada artists this year.
