A distinguished voice in Italian Jewish music, flutist, singer, and composer Enrico Fink appears regularly as performer and educator in Europe and in the U.S. He has taught annual courses at the Faculty in Jewish Studies of the Italian Rabbinical College in Rome and teaches at the Bet haMidrash in Florence. In the US he has held seminars at Yale University, Stanford University and the University of California, Santa Cruz. He also serves as director of the Orchestra Multietnica di Arezzo, whose repertoire merges mainstream and minority soundscapes and musical traditions. Jewish themes appear prominently in his discography, and in the scores he has produced for theater and film. One of his latest endeavours is the editing of the book “Shirat Hayam, the song of the sea” CPL Editions New York, a study in piyutim in the Sephardic Italian tradition.
