Joanne Borts is a veteran Broadway performer with deep Yiddish roots, whose career has been the love-child of theatricality, folk music, comedy, barbershop quartets, and social action. Her debut solo album, Lush & Hora, embraces a spectrum of contradictions told through a Yiddish lens of irreverent admiration, mischievous rebellion … and maybe a little gossip – shhhhh….
